Can’t bike for pizza if you don’t have the socks

Here is an event that goes on May through October that was first introduced to us by some of our Millenial friends but was just brought up again in class recently. Cress Spring Bakery in Vermont Township hosts hundreds of folks from around the Madison area every Wednesday from 4:30pm-8:30pm for their handmade wood fired pizzas. Though the name implies, you won’t find a bakery counter here but rather you will find yourself on a quaint farm in rural Wisconsin, taking in the fresh country air while you picnic on the grounds. Though Jeff and I have never been, we hear it is a great bike ride out, terrific pizza, beer, and entertainment, and a more challenging ride home. It might be the reason we don’t do park workouts next summer.
If you are biking out to Cress Spring Bakery, you will most likely be wearing socks. We spotted some cute socks in the gym this week. They were cute enough to make me comment on them and I am glad I did. It turns out, you can get a box full of random socks from defeet.com for a steal. You can get 6 pairs of socks for $24. Now, when you order a “grab bag” you give up all rights to choose what you get. If that sounds too risky, you can pick and choose and pay full price on their site. Also, the “grab bags” are a secret item and can only be order upon request at firstname.lastname@example.org.
